Flex Xml Webservices Integration

I have been working on my company's Dashboard on Adobe Flex which has been very challenging. The Flex front end integrates to the .NET Xml Webservices layer to pull data out
of the database and produce fantastic data visualization.
This is lot better than the normal excel which the sales people use to check the overall
performance of the company.

Clicking the top level graph drives the lower level graphs and data.Incase any body is interested to know the techniques and tricks for creating similar application then feel free to get in touch with me.I would provide you
with as much development ideas that can get you going.
Believe me the Flex based data visualization is awesome.

Basic Form Effects in Flex

One thing that flex comes up trumps is the way it can flatter the end user with fantastic effects like
transitions/move/dissolve etc etc.The effects are not just pleasing to the eye but provides us with the option of cutting down on the cluttering up of the screen real estate which is precious. And this is without writing and debugging the long subroutines in dhtml or javascript.
I will provide you with a very simple example of the endless possibilities of the effects in Flex.
Provided below is the view and source of my example as well as the snapshot.
Hope it helps and happy FLEXing!!!!

Blog bug bites me

Today is a historical day as I have just started writing my first blog :) . I have always been a attracted to learning new technologies as soon as they arrive and at the same time implement them in my working environment. On the other hand I got to know about blogging, when a close friend of mine ,got bitten by the B-Bug some years back, told me about it, but I have always been able to find reasons like 'I am Busy'/'I can do without it' etc etc to overlook my laziness in having adapted this method of sharing my ideas and technological upgradations ,those I have learnt the hard way and those which could have helped others.Anyway the whole story cut short I am going to be sincerely penning down my Grey matter info here especially that I have just become serious fan and user of 'Adobe Flex' and started writing some real serious applications.I am sure my knowledge and issues that I learnt the hard way would be real handy for beginners and at the same time I want to 'Flex' my Adobe muscles with the geeks around the globe :) Kiddin' ,I am just learning but surely can contribute and share my ideas.
So keep visiting my blog.
